Transitus Held at Ave Maria in Wheaton

St. Anthony’s Fraternity will hold the Transitus at 7:30pm in The Church of Ave Maria in Wheaton. The Leader’s part will be read by Gloria Cory, sfo; St. Francis will again be, Ron Herlofsky, sfo; Narrator, will be Dennis Whelan, sfo, Commentator, Shirley Foren, sfo, Lector #1 is Peg Agar, sfo, Lector 2, is Pearl Whelan, sfo and the Brother’s part is read by Carol Wolney, sfo. The Fraternity uses the Franciscan Resource Commemoration. Guests are invited. No reception.

Feast Day Mass at Church of St. Anthony, Browns Valley MN on Oct. 4, 2007 at 7:30pm.

Fr. Joe Vanderburg will celebrate the Feast Day Mass. Lector will be Pearl Whelan, sfo. A potluck reception will follow the Mass, along with a Question and Answer time for anyone interested.

Meeting Date and Time:

For October we have changed the meeting date to Sunday, October 14th and the time to 11:30am immediately following Mass. This is just a test to see if it will work for us.

Retreat at Little Falls:

The SFO Retreat will be the weekend of October 19, 20 and 21. We will meet at 7pm in the Meeting room on the 3rd floor. The Retreat will end after Mass and Brunch on the 21st. The names of those going must be registered Oct. 5th.

November Food Drive:

The St. Anthony of Padua forming Fraternity will hold a Food Drive for the Poor Clares of Sauk Rapids during November. We will have baskets available in the vestibule of St. Anthony’s and Ave Maria Parishes. We will need someone to take responsibility for this. Please let Dennis know.

Note:

The Feast Day celebration of St. Elizabeth of Hungary is tabled until after the October meeting of fraternity and council.

Next Council meeting is Oct. 31st.
