Reports from Browns ValleySt. Anthony of Padua Fraternity (Browns Valley), met Sunday March 2, 2008. The area around had some rain and mist which Sr. Mary Ann said made the drive to BV not too fun. Our Inquirer, Basil Knebel, couldn't come due to slippery roads. We discussed who would be attending the Spring Retreat Day in Little Falls on April 5th with only 2 signing up so far. Dennis will be talking to Fr. Joe about our presenting the Divine Mercy Chaplet on March 30th after Mass, for the Parish. Due to so many people having other commitments on April 6th, it was decided to hold the meeting on March 30th instead. Ron and Anita will provide lunch. We also briefly discussed summer meeting time, but nothing was decided. The Prayer Shawl Apostolate has gained quite a bit of attention. Pearl will be writing Bishop Kinney and the Catholic Visitor telling them about it. Our On-going formation continues with studying Francis and Clare, after which we closed with The Peace Prayer. Inquiry class will not be March 16th due to Basil's music commitment. New time to be arranged. Fr. Pat Foley, TOR, has been requested by Fr. Christopher, TOR, the Spiritual Assistant to our Order, to come to our Fraternity on a Pastoral Visitation. He has agreed to come on the 24 or 25 of May. Another step will be taken towards establishment of the fraternity. Peace and Good, Carol Wolney, sfo |
